Gli utenti iTunes al momento noleggiano e acquistano oltre 400.000 episodi televisivi e oltre 150.000 film al giorno.
Ora, con AirPlay, recentemente reso disponibile in iOS 4.2, gli utenti possono mandare in streaming via wireless alla nuova Apple TV la propria musica, i video e le foto da iPad, iPhone e iPod touch, cosa che rende Apple TV l’accessorio perfetto per iOS. Gli utenti possono inoltre controllare Apple TV con il loro iPad, iPhone o iPod touch con l'applicazione Remote, disponibile come app gratuita su App Store.
