NVIDIA ha lanciato ufficialmente le nuove gpu per notebook siglate NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. Si tratta di soluzioni orientate non soltanto all'ambito gaming (cfr. la seconda delle immagini che seguono riproduce un frame del gioco Call of Duty 4, ndr) ma anche a quello business e professional, trattandosi di chip grafici capaci di esibire, in accordo al produttore, ottime prestazioni con le applicazioni basate sui calcoli parallali.
Secondo NVIDIA, i nuovi processori grafici sono 5 volte più performanti delle soluzioni che utilizzano l'IGP dei chipset, come il Centrino 2 Montevina (GM45) di Intel, pur essendo più compatti dal punto di vista fisico. Le gpu GeForce 9400M sono molto apprezzate anche da Apple, che le utilizzerà per la realizzazione di alcuni dei suoi notebook MacBook, MacBook Pro e MacBook Air.
